Job Description

Are you ready to take the lead in revolutionizing our manufacturing processes? In this role, you will identify, develop, and implement cutting-edge manufacturing technologies that enhance every aspect of our operations, driving efficiency and innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities Championing Safety:
 Develop manufacturing processes with a strong emphasis on operator safety. You'll study product requirements and collaborate with equipment vendors to research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
Ensuring Quality Excellence:
 Design robust manufacturing processes that guarantee product and process quality. By applying poka-yoke solutions, you'll proactively prevent quality issues and design effective testing methods to validate finished products and process capabilities.
Boosting Productivity:
 Analyze and optimize workflow, space requirements, and equipment layouts in alignment with Kubota's KPS Principles. Your insights will directly contribute to enhancing manufacturing productivity.
Informed Decision-Making:
 Equip the manufacturing team with critical information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements.
Transparent Project Management:
 Oversee project-related activities for new initiatives or modifications to existing programs. You'll manage timelines, budgets, design details, team coordination, and vendor procurement with clarity and transparency.
Insightful Reporting:
 Prepare comprehensive technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing key information and trends, ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed.
Driving Continuous Improvement:
 Collaborate with manufacturing teams to achieve safety, productivity, and quality targets through innovative process design, optimization projects, and Kaizen initiatives.
Regulatory Compliance:
 Uphold our product and company reputation by ensuring strict compliance with government regulations.
Preventative Maintenance Facilitation:
 Work alongside maintenance teams to establish preventative maintenance initiatives for new equipment, following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
Data Management:
 Maintain our product and process database by writing computer programs and entering essential data.
Design Documentation:
 Create design records for tooling and fixtures using CAD applications, ensuring proper storage and accessibility of records.
Empowering Others:
 Lead the implementation of new or revised processes by providing thorough training for technicians, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed.
Lifelong Learning:
 Stay at the forefront of industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and actively participating in professional networks and societies.
Team Collaboration:
 Be a supportive team player, ready to assist colleagues as needed to overcome capacity challenges.
Technology Leadership:
 A core component of your role will be to spearhead initial technology installations, providing training, documentation, and guidance to empower others in effectively utilizing these advancements.
Qualifications Educational Background:
 Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Problem-Solving Expertise:
 Proven experience in tackling complex challenges, with strong verbal and written communication skills and effective leadership capabilities. You should be well-versed in manufacturing methods and procedures, possess a solid understanding of manufacturing quality, and be proficient in presenting technical information.
Technical Proficiency:
 Familiarity with AutoCAD, Autodesk Vault/Inventor, or equivalent software. A basic understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and automation is essential.
Travel Flexibility:
 Willingness to travel within Georgia (10-15%) and occasionally for domestic and international travel as required.
Preferred Skills and Experience Robotics Knowledge:
 Experience with Yaskawa, Fanuc, or equivalent robotics programming.
Programming Skills:
 Working knowledge of Python or similar programming languages.
Manufacturing Principles:
 Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing principles. Working Conditions Ability to thrive in extreme heat and cold environments. Comfortable working in a loud setting. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/be on your feet for long periods of time and walk throughout the shop floor. Ability to sit at a desk. Ability to use hands/ fingers. Ability to reach with arms. Ability to operate power and handheld tools.
