Job Description:
AUTOCLAVE PRODUCTION PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
is the KEY •All WORK is done ONSITE in
Sioux Center, Iowa Required:
Composites Manufacturing Process Any Aerospace a plus.
Desired:
Hands-on experience with Mfg process tasks (equip set up, process documentation, CIP, etc.)
Project Overview:
Our client requires an experienced Composites Manufacturing Engineer to manage a Continuous Improvement Process project to increase production yield from existing Autoclaves.
Responsibilities:
Composite part fabrication. Develop, evaluate, and improve composite manufacturing processes, methods, and equipment. Apply engineering knowledge to fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials selection. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions
Project Specific:
Modify configuration of parts within the autoclave Determine where TC's need to be placed on parts and/or molds Conduct Thermal Profiles of various load configuration (run load, collect the data) Evaluate the TC readings to determine if the load configuration and cure meet customer spec Using the data to repeat the process above until a successful combination is found, repeatable, scalable. Complete reports for client submittal/approval Modify work instructions incorporating the changes Qualifications BSME or equivalent Manufacturing Engineering experience Experience with manufacturing sequences and production processes for thermoset and/or thermoplastic composite materials Experience developing process improvement processes and documentation •
