Job Summary As a Staff Design Engineer in the DRAM and Emerging Memory Group (DEG) at Micron Technology, you will design and analyze digital and analog circuits for DRAM products, contributing to innovative memory solutions. You will collaborate with global build and verification teams and partner with multi-functional groups including product engineering, test, probe, process integration, assembly, and marketing to ensure manufacturability, performance, cost efficiency, and reliability. This role includes hands-on design, validation, and optimization of semiconductor circuits while driving innovation for future memory generations. Responsibilities Build, layout, and optimize memory, logic, and analog components in support of new product development Perform parasitic modeling and support design validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions Lead all aspects of layout activities including floor-planning, placement, and routing Run verification using industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., HSPICE, Finesim) Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and product success Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of CMOS circuit design and device physics Experience with simulation tools such as HSPICE or Finesim Understanding of logic design, state machines, and verification techniques Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field Experience with Verilog modeling and simulation Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl and ability to bring to bear AI-assisted development tools Experience with power network analysis and layout design Background in DRAM or emerging memory technologies As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
