Process Engineer

Process Engineer- Belvidere, IL We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to optimize our sheet metal fabrication processes. This role involves developing work instructions, supporting prototype builds, and collaborating with design teams to ensure manufacturability. The ideal candidate will drive Lean initiatives and troubleshoot fabrication and quality issues. Responsibilities Optimize sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, CNC punching, forming, welding, powder coating, and assembly. Develop work instructions and process documentation. Support prototype builds and transition to production. Troubleshoot fabrication and quality issues. Improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and drive Lean initiatives. Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability (DFM). Essential Skills Experience in manufacturing engineering and process engineering. Proficiency in Lean manufacturing principles. Experience with POP (point of purchase) processes. Minimum of 5 years in design engineering. Proficient in 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools, with SolidWorks being ideal. Strong written and oral communication skills. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr. benefits available upon job offer Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Belvidere,IL.
