Full Job Description Position Summary:
Responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality and cost in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment (CNC machining, manual machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding & manual assembly). This position supports new product introduction, product data management, continuous improvement, fixture design, data analysis and cross-functional team projects.

60646 Chicago, IL Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 (in office, no remote work)
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Design fixtures and other equipment for the production process using Autodesk Inventor.
  • Maintain and revise production routers and other production documents.
  • Analyze process data to identify improvements.
  • Analyze production KPI's and manufacturing cost data.
  • Create production work instructions.
  • Create test procedures
  • Lead APQP projects.
  • Submits engineering change notices.
  • Provide technical support and training to shop floor employees.
Required Experience:
  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Fixture design experience for machining and hand assembly processes.
  • Experience maintaining production routers and BOM documents with an ERP software solution (Netsuite, Syspro, Infor or equivalent).
Competencies:
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and capable of self-checking work for accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). Access and Power BI are plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with common hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Required education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of related experience (machine ship, sheet metal fabrication, welding, hand assembly)
  • 6-Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Greenbelt or Blackbelt.
