Manufacturing Engineering Assistant

Description Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Assistant to support our engineering team as workload continues to grow with new customers and projects. This role is designed to offload day-to-day engineering support tasks, allowing Manufacturing Engineers to focus on higher-level project and customer work. This is a great opportunity for a recent high school graduate or early-career candidate with CAD exposure and an interest in manufacturing and steel fabrication.

• Support Manufacturing Engineers with day-to-day engineering tasks
• Use CAD software to:
• Pull and review files
• Navigate drawings
• Take measurements and dimensions
• Assist with manufacturing process documentation and support
• Work with steel material specifications and basic fabrication concepts
• Enter and retrieve data within the ERP system (training provided)
• Perform general computer-based tasks to support engineering and production
• Help manage engineering workload related to new projects and customers Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED Basic CAD experience Ability to read, navigate, and dimension drawings is preferred over design creation Comfortable working on a computer daily Interest in manufacturing and engineering support work Ability to work in a team-oriented, shop-focused environment Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forrest, IL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00

• $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
