Job Description
Innovative Staff Solutions has a new direct hire opportunity for a Process Engineer with one of our clients in the Nashville, IL area! Here's how you will make an impact: Responsible for coordination and management of new program/product quotes and launches for Assembly operation. Designs and supervises installation of assembly process and equipment. Assists manufacturing in continuous process improvements and problem solving. What you will do on a daily basis: Develop manufacturing processes for new product and program launches (specify assembly equipment, establish process flow, estimate labor requirements, develop work instructions, design and implement error‑proofing, etc.). Prepare quotes and other customer‑required submissions. Establish production floor layouts that promote lean manufacturing concepts and effective use of space. Coordinate cross‑functional department responsibilities for new program launches. Provide leadership and audit processes for manufacturing effectiveness and quality. Represent the company at customer assembly plants for problem evaluation or during program launches. Represent the company at supplier facilities to validate equipment and machinery prior to delivery. Investigate process issues using 8D or similar structured problem‑solving methodologies. Lead teams to effective, sustainable solutions. Periodically re‑evaluate assembly processes to improve throughput, labor utilization, and product quality. Prepare Engineering Change documentation and follow changes through all affected departments. Demonstrate competency in and actively use AIAG Core Tools. Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills. Work various shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required. Make safety a top priority in work behavior and assembly line design. Mentor and support entry‑level Assembly Manufacturing Engineers.
Requirements:
Past work in manufacturing operations in an engineering or technical capacity. Preferred 2 years of assembly manufacturing engineering experience. Must be computer skilled in a variety of common business and engineering applications and able to learn new applications quickly. Competent in use of Auto-Cad. Preferred experience with robotics. B.S. degree in engineering discipline (required). Experience in the Automotive Industry or another assembly related field (preferred). In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education, but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered. Must be able to at least meet the physical demands as defined by the current production requirements and the job function evaluation. See job function evaluation in the Occupational Nurse's office for more details. The work environment for this position includes office and manufacturing floor tasks. The temperatures are hot at times in the manufacturing area. The noise level is below the ear plug threshold but can prevent normal conversation from occurring. The time spent in the office will probably be over 65 %. Care must be taken to be on the alert for moving fork trucks in the manufacturing area.Pay:
$80,000.00- $95,000.
