Job Description:
Automation Engineer for a new, state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing plant in Libertyville, IL (direct hire). This is a greenfield opportunity to help launch and optimize high-speed automated production systems ahead of full production later this year. The role focuses on high-speed assembly automation (100-200+ ppm), including rotary/indexing and cam-driven systems, with hands-on work in PLCs, robotics, controls, and vision systems (Keyence/Cognex). Responsibilities include system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting across mechanical/electrical/controls, and performance optimization of advanced manufacturing equipment.
