Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer 5. The work will be done onsite full-time in Mossville, IL. This is a 24-month long-term position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $56.41/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay). Job Summary Cullerton Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 5 with strong manufacturing domain expertise and a digital product mindset to support the development and deployment of manufacturing-focused digital tools and operational solutions. This role will serve as a critical bridge between manufacturing operations and IT/software delivery teams, helping translate shop-floor operational needs into scalable digital capabilities. The engineer will collaborate with manufacturing, IT, and Azure DevOps teams to support initiatives involving production analytics, connected equipment, digital manufacturing systems, and operational improvement tools. This position offers exposure to enterprise manufacturing strategy, digital transformation initiatives, and multi-site manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities Represent manufacturing operations in the design and deployment of digital manufacturing tools including OEE, connected equipment, digital twins, and production analytics platforms Translate manufacturing problems, operational constraints, and process requirements into clear digital requirements, epics, features, and acceptance criteria Partner with IT and product teams using Azure DevOps and Agile methodologies to support incremental digital solution delivery Support pilot deployments and validate digital capabilities in live manufacturing environments while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and operational standards Facilitate cross-functional workshops and collaboration between manufacturing, IT, data, and leadership teams to drive scalable digital manufacturing initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field required 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environments Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment behavior, operational workflows, and process improvement methodologies Experience collaborating with IT, software, or digital product teams Working knowledge of Agile delivery concepts and Azure DevOps (or similar platforms) Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to write clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and operational documentation Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments Preferred Qualifications Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience accepted Experience supporting digital manufacturing products such as OEE, MES, production analytics, connected equipment, or digital twins Familiarity with manufacturing data sources including PLC, SCADA, MES, CMMS, and historians Experience supporting pilot-to-scale digital implementations Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD concepts, and digital product lifecycle management Multi-site manufacturing environment experience preferred Lean Black Belt, Manufacturing Project Engineer, or similar operational leadership background preferred Why This Role?
