Job Description

About the Role As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving production excellence by managing complex setups and optimizing machine performance. You will leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot equipment, refine programming, and mentor team members to ensure we consistently meet high-quality manufacturing standards. Responsibilities Execute precise setups and advanced adjustments on multi-axis CNC lathes and mills to maximize operational efficiency. Develop and refine CNC programs, tooling strategies, and fixturing to enhance output quality and cycle times. Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical or programming issues to minimize downtime and maintain a steady production flow. Perform rigorous first-piece and in-process inspections using precision metrology tools to ensure strict adherence to engineering specifications. Provide technical leadership and hands-on training to operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. Document production data and process changes within ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory and performance records. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements that reduce setup times and increase overall machining reliability. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience with multi-turret CNC systems and complex machining centers. Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and technical schematics. Expertise in using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and various gauges. Strong understanding of GD&T principles and CNC tooling applications. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Proven track record in CNC programming and optimization for high-precision parts. Experience mentoring or training junior machine operators in a shop floor setting. Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on preventative maintenance and process reliability.
