Job Description
Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, deploy and maintain quality plans, control plans, SOPs and inspection criteria for metal stamping, fabrication, plating and painting processes.
Lead
Manage PPAP submissions and approval process; ensure timely documentation and component/process capability prior to production release.
Perform and oversee incoming, in-process and final inspections; establish measurement methods and sampling plans to guarantee product conformity.
Drive supplier quality by conducting audits, qualifying suppliers, managing corrective actions and monitoring supplier performance against
Investigate product and process non-conformances using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, 3I5Y); implement robust corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness.
Use statistical tools (Minitab) and GD&T to analyze process capability, detect trends and support data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Maintain compliance with
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce scrap/rework, and improve first-pass yield and product reliability.
Train production and inspection personnel on quality standards, work instructions, inspection methods and root-cause tools; promote PDCA culture and continuous improvement.
QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.3+ years of hands-on quality engineering experience in manufacturing environments, preferably with metal stamping, fabrication, painting and/or plating processes.
Practical knowledge of
Experience with APQP/APDP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans, SOP creation and process validation.
Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5-Why, PDCA, 3I5Y) and to verify effectiveness of fixes.
Proficient with statistical analysis tools (Minitab) and comfortable with SPC, process capability studies and metrics interpretation.
Working knowledge of GD&T and dimensional inspection methods; experience specifying and reviewing inspection criteria.
Supplier quality management experience including supplier audits, development and corrective action follow-through.

up to 80kPosition OverviewWe are seeking a proactive Quality Engineer (Manufacturing) to lead and strengthen product and process quality across our metal stamping, fabrication and finishing operations. The successful candidate will driveIATF 16949/ISO 9001/ISO 14001
compliance, supplier development, and continuous improvement activities to ensure part conformity, reliability and robust production launches. This role partners with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to prevent defects, validate processes and implement corrective actions for long-term quality performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, deploy and maintain quality plans, control plans, SOPs and inspection criteria for metal stamping, fabrication, plating and painting processes.
