Contract (6-9 Months) with Potential for Direct Hire We are seeking a Mid to Senior-Level Continuous Improvement Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organization in the Columbia City area. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by improving processes, enhancing efficiency, and partnering with teams across the organization to support long-term operational success. What You'll Do Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. Analyze existing manufacturing and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Champion change management efforts and drive adoption of new processes and best practices. Partner with operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other internal stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements. Facilitate process mapping, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities. Develop and implement standardized work instructions, procedures, and process controls. Utilize data and performance metrics to measure results and support decision-making. Support ERP system utilization and process improvements across operational functions. Lead and participate in Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and Lean manufacturing initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, material flow, and overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant manufacturing/continuous improvement experience will be considered. 5+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operational Excellence, or a related role. Proven ability to lead change and influence stakeholders across multiple departments. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production workflows, and job costing principles. Experience developing and implementing process improvements in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other Continuous Improvement methodologies. Experience utilizing ERP systems to support operational and process improvements. Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Experience in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Epicor ERP. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects from identification through implementation. Demonstrated success improving efficiency, reducing waste, and driving measurable operational results. •Apply today for immediate consideration.
