Job Description

Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Location:
5559 Inwood Dr, Columbus, IN 47201 - onsite everyday!
Interview process:
2 interviews (1st round virtual, 2nd round onsite panel)
Pay Rate:
$25-42/hr (dependent on experience)
Duration:
1 year contract to permanent hire W2 contract Paid x1.5 for overtime Eligible for benefits during contract duration
Start Date:
ASAP Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or engineering technology OR associate degree in a technical field with applicable experience 1-3+ years (ideally max 6 years) of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; troubleshooting and fixing when machines break down, doing process improvement, designing, working on, planning, and implementing small projects. Ability to understand and troubleshoot the mechanical aspects of servo calibration, ballscrews, gear ratios, and drive‑belt slippage (These are common problem‑solving activities the engineer will lead alongside maintenance, especially since the area uses NC and servo‑driven tooling that can be finicky) Ability to design fixtures and tooling using Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or Catia Strong technical experience with troubleshooting capability and willingness to work hands-on
Responsibilities:
Insight Global is looking for a Production Engineer to support one of our largest material handling equipment manufacturing clients in Columbus, Indiana. The Production Engineer will be responsible for looking at downtime reports to determine root cause and to analyze solutions that will increase new technology and automation to increase productivity of operations. This resource will need to have the ability to multitask, critically think and work in a dynamic work environment where several tasks may be assigned at once. After one year, this resource will gain their own capital projects to create, plan, implement, and manage.
Pay:
$25.00 - $42.00 per hour
