Job Description:
Manufacturing Engineer About the Opportunity We are looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support and grow our expanding custom wire harness operation. This is a high-impact role focused on driving production performance, maintaining equipment reliability, and improving manufacturing processes across the facility. This is not a desk-only position - the ideal candidate enjoys being on the production floor, working directly with equipment and operators, and solving real-time manufacturing challenges. What You'll Do Provide daily engineering support for wire harness manufacturing operations Analyze and improve production methods to increase efficiency, throughput, and consistency Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standards Troubleshoot and resolve production issues impacting quality, flow, and productivity Perform and support preventative maintenance to ensure equipment uptime Diagnose and repair machinery used in wire cutting, crimping, terminating, and testing Partner with operations and quality teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements Support new product introductions, validation efforts, and PPAP requirements Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and equipment adjustments Maintain and verify testing systems and related equipment Train and support operators on process changes and equipment usage Drive initiatives focused on waste reduction, uptime improvement, and product quality What You Bring Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within wire harness or cable assembly Strong understanding of wire harness components, processes, and industry standards Proven mechanical troubleshooting skills with hands-on equipment experience Background in machine maintenance and preventative maintenance programs Ability to diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions quickly Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Proficiency with standard computer applications Why Join Us?
