This is a high-visibility, hands-on role working closely with maintenance, operations, and leadership teams to improve safety, uptime, and efficiency across the facility. What You'll Do Lead and support installation, startup, and optimization of new and existing equipment Partner with vendors and contractors on capital projects, upgrades, and improvements Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies Troubleshoot equipment and processes to resolve real-time production issues Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support repairs and improvements Plan and coordinate downtime, shutdowns, and outage schedules with cross-functional teams Align engineering work with dynamic production schedules to minimize disruption Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams on spare parts strategies, equipment reliability, and PM program effectiveness Lead cross-functional projects to improve equipment uptime, production efficiency, product quality Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA, GMP, and food safety standards What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, equipment reliability, and maintenance strategies Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments (food, packaging, or industrial preferred) Knowledge of project management principles and execution Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Ability to lead projects and influence across teams High accountability with a results-driven mindset Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility to support off-shift, weekend, or project-based work when needed
Physical Requirements:
This role includes time in both office and production environments. You should be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, using standard office equipment and maintenance/engineering tools, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You'll also spend time on the production floor, which includes exposure to varying temperatures and common food allergens. Duties include intricate repairs, which will require working in, on, and around complex machinery and packaging systems, requiring a high level of manual dexterity.
