Have Qualifications 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry Strong background in General Assembly operations , including tooling, process flow, and workstation design. Demonstrated experience supporting vehicle launches , including validation, integration, commissioning, and acceptance of new equipment and processes. Solid industrial engineering foundation, including line balancing, time studies, and process optimization. Strong working knowledge of GD&T and its application in manufacturing and assembly environments. Ability to lead cross?functional teams and drive issue resolution in fast?paced launch environments. Proficiency in PLC logic (troubleshooting, understanding ladder logic, supporting controls integration). Key Responsibilities Lead manufacturing engineering activities for the vehicle launch ensuring all systems, tooling, and processes meet safety, quality, and throughput targets. Develop, review, and optimize assembly processes for high?volume production, including line balance, workstation design, and ergonomic considerations. Support equipment integration, commissioning, and acceptance, working closely with controls engineers, maintenance, and external suppliers. Review and troubleshoot PLC logic to support equipment functionality, process flow, and launch readiness. Validate new tooling, fixtures, and automation systems; ensure compliance with GM standards and manufacturing requirements. Lead issue resolution during launch phases, including root?cause analysis, corrective actions, and cross?functional coordination. Support build events, trials, and pilot operations, ensuring process capability and product quality prior to ramp?up. Maintain documentation including PFMEAs, process sheets, standard work, and validation reports. Collaborate with product engineering, quality, operations, and program teams to ensure smooth integration of design changes and launch deliverables. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency throughout General Assembly.
