Job Description
We are seeking:
(4) four Co-Ops or Interns to work one-on-one with our Manufacturing Engineers; at least (1) one Chemical Engineering Co-Op or Intern to work with our Rubber Engineering Manager; (1) to (3) Co-Ops or Interns to work one-on-one with our Production Supervisors, and (1) one Co-Op or Intern for Quality. These programs provide a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute in an industry leading environment while building a valuable reputation with Tenneco. As a co-op or intern student working with Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team, working with full time employees, making contributions to solving real problems.Possible Responsibilities Include:
Updating and maintaining drawings/prints. Reporting out findings and next steps on assigned projects. Developing support tooling/equipment to manufacturing processes. Troubleshooting equipment, compiling and analyzing data to drive process improvements. Writing work instructions. Supporting full time manufacturing engineers. Supporting production supervision. Supporting rubber engineering manager. Researching and pursuing opportunities for cost reduction and profit improvement for the plant through the use of Lean Manufacturing principles.Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be able to work independently and in a team-based environment. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Effective time management skills. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license. Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution.
