2nd Shift | 4:30 PM - Completion (end time based on customer demand) Overview We are seeking a Controls / Manufacturing Engineer to support our 2nd shift operations in Frankfort, IN. This role serves as the technical lead on the production floor, responsible for maintaining and improving PLC-driven systems (ControlLogix, VFDs, HMIs) while driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume automotive manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Improve and maintain manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance Design, implement, and support PLC and ControlLogix programming, including servos, VFDs, hardware, and HMI systems Review existing systems and identify opportunities for design improvements based on industry trends Test and validate program functionality to ensure reliable operation Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to resolve problems Design and develop new assembly equipment Plan and coordinate manufacturing processes by developing, evaluating, and improving production methods Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork skills Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role strongly preferred Automotive seating experience is a plus Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge required Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills Experience Requirements
