Job Description

Design Engineer Compensation:
$73K-$85K base + full benefits
Schedule:
Full-time | Onsite Overview We are representing a manufacturing company seeking a Design Engineer to develop manufacturable product designs using 3D CAD and engineering analysis tools. This role is heavily focused on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and requires someone who can bridge engineering concepts with real-world production capabilities. What You'll Be Doing Product & Design Engineering Create manufacturable product designs using 3D CAD software Develop designs based on: customer requirements sales specifications production capabilities DFM & Manufacturing Support Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to optimize production efficiency and cost Select appropriate: materials manufacturing methods production approaches
Prototype & Validation Work Support:
prototyping 3D printing testing and validation Utilize engineering analysis tools such as: FEA stress analysis thermal analysis Project Management Track projects from concept through production release Manage engineering change requests (ECRs/ECOs) Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with: Manufacturing Quality Tooling Sales teams Provide backup support for tooling and estimating functions as needed What You Need Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 4+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing Strong experience with: 3D CAD software DFM principles manufacturing processes
Knowledge of:
metals plastics composites sheet metal 3D printing materials What They Actually Need Someone who understands that a great design also has to be manufacturable and practical A hands-on engineer who is comfortable spending time on the production floor Someone who can move projects from concept through production without losing momentum
Pay:
$80,883.18 - $97,407.70 per year
