Job Description

ABOUT US
Midwest Service Center, LLC., based in Hobart, Indiana, is a leading provider of high-quality manufacturing solutions for the power generation industry. This is a full-time, onsite position. Responsibilities Lead new parts manufacturing projects from planning through completion, managing schedules, timelines, and costs using project scheduling and cost control software. Develop Process Control Plans that define the processes and guidelines required to successfully manufacture new components. Utilize ERP software (Epicor) to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize lead times. Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes, including production flow, tooling requirements, assembly methods, and equipment selection. Create component designs and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Define special process requirements, including raw material specifications, heat treatment parameters, Non-Destructive Examination (NDE/NDT) standards, and design modifications or new part drawings. Monitor and manage inventory records to ensure power generation materials are available to meet customer service demands. Oversee machinery health and coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and repairs as needed. Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and methods. Analyze industry trends and operational needs to drive continuous plant improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent); SolidWorks strongly preferred Experience with ERP and project management software is preferred (Epicor, Microsoft Project, or similar) Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data tools such as Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to cross-functional teams Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus Must be able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen.
Pay:
From $60,000.00 per year
