This is a long-term contract opportunity with an expected duration of 6+ months with the possibility of extension at their other manufacturing facilities in the central United States and Europe. Our client currently operates an active pyrolysis plant and has two additional pyrolysis plants in various stages of completion. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Project Manager with a strong process engineering background to support capital projects, process improvements, and equipment installations within a manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with operations, maintenance, vendors, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and interpreting process documentation, coordinating with equipment vendors prior to delivery and installation, and supporting projects within an operating manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities Manage and support capital improvement and process engineering projects from concept through startup and commissioning Review and interpret PFDs and P&IDs to support project execution and process optimization Coordinate with equipment vendors, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, equipment specifications, FATs, delivery coordination, and installation planning Work closely with plant operations and maintenance teams to minimize production disruptions during project execution Assist with equipment layout, utility requirements, process modifications, and system integration within an active manufacturing environment Track project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and installation progress Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all phases of project work Prepare technical documentation, project reports, scopes of work, and engineering change documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline 8+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Experience reviewing and working with PFDs and P&IDs Hands-on experience supporting projects within an operating manufacturing facility Experience with capital projects, process optimization, or facility expansions Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors prior to equipment delivery and installation Knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and plant systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software Understanding of industrial safety standards and permitting requirements PMP certification or project management experience is a plus ResourceTek offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
