Kokomo, IN Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our innovative team. Located in Kokomo, Indiana, our primary business unit focuses on electric vehicle battery manufacturing, with a growing emphasis on the energy storage system vertical. Your role will involve assisting and validating incoming equipment to meet manufacturing standards. Responsibilities Assist and lead the evaluation of schematics and electrical safety for new equipment. Review machine manuals, wiring, and PLC ladder logic. Participate in the integration and commissioning of new equipment. Collaborate with Automation, Vision, and Process Engineering teams. Understand and apply machine safety, ISO manufacturing standards, and reliability practices. Essential Skills Technical engineering degree (Bachelor's or Associate's). 3-5 years of experience in commissioning automated systems. Knowledge of machine safety and reliability. Ability to modify ladder logic for Mitsubishi and Omron safety relays. Experience in automotive and battery manufacturing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in automotive and/or battery manufacturing. Mitsubishi PLC certifications. Work Environment This full-time position is based onsite in Kokomo, IN. The role involves working primarily on the manufacturing floor, with minimal office time. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 4 PM, with overtime as needed. The facility is state-of-the-art, equipped with robotics, AGVs, and AMRs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kokomo, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
