37-45 Per hour
Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for building quality into manufacturing processes and products from concept through production launch. This role focuses on proactive quality planning, risk prevention, and cross?functional collaboration to support new product introductions, new capital programs, and stable production launches in a manufacturing environment. Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new product and new capital programs, ensuring early validation planning, readiness reviews, and audit strategies Develop, support, and maintain Process FMEAs (PFMEAs) to identify manufacturing risks early and drive effective mitigation actions Create, review, and manage Control Plans aligned with PFMEA risks, process capability, and customer requirements Serve as the quality lead on new product and capital programs, supporting design readiness, manufacturability, inspection strategies, and error?proofing efforts Lead process validation activities, including capability analysis, production trials, and run?at?rate evaluations Partner closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to ensure process readiness and production stability Support early production launches by monitoring quality performance, identifying emerging risks, and driving preventive actions Lead structured problem?solving efforts when quality issues arise and ensure lessons learned are incorporated into quality planning documentation Identify, track, and support quality metrics focused on risk prevention, launch readiness, and process robustness
Requirements:
7+ years of progressive experience in Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineering. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Top 3 Skills Demonstrated experience with APQP, including PFMEAs and Control Plans.

  • able to influence and engage with individuals at all levels of the business to build trusted partnerships Additional Technical Skills (Required) Proven analytical and structured problem-solving capability. (Desired)
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or New Capital Introduction (NCI).
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ-CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.
  • Experience with process capability analysis and error-proofing methods.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar manufacturing and quality systems (AQE, MESA, deviation management).
