Job Description Position Title:
Mechatronics Engineer Summary:
Victaulic is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support the development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and tooling. This is a hands-on opportunity to work across mechanical, electrical, and controls systems while helping drive reliability, safety, and efficiency in a global manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
Support development and sustaining engineering of automated manufacturing equipment and tooling. Maintain and troubleshoot PLC programs, control systems, and HMI interfaces. Design and support tooling, test equipment, and production fixtures. Manage vendor-supplied automation equipment including specification, procurement, and qualification. Maintain electrical and mechanical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and revisions. Support manufacturing operations with troubleshooting, process improvements, and equipment uptime. Ensure compliance with global safety and regulatory standards. Coordinate with testing and certification bodies for product and equipment approvals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or 3+ years of relevant technical experience. Experience with automated machinery, industrial controls, or manufacturing equipment. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panel design. Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI systems, and automation troubleshooting. Understanding of global machinery safety standards and compliance requirements. Ability to read and create electrical schematics and interpret mechanical drawings. Experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Travel and Physical Requirements Approximately 10% domestic and international travel required. Ability to lift within nationally approved EHS limits. Ability to work in manufacturing and industrial environments. Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
