Full Job Description Job Description:
Winglet Technology, LLC is seeking a qualified Design Engineer to support new and existing aftermarket business jet projects. Duties include performing structural design for both metallic and non-metallic parts, assemblies, and installations while working in close collaboration with stress and fatigue engineers. Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero and Mechanical) or equivalent degree required with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design, analysis and mechanics of materials.
  • Minimum eight (8) years total experience in airframe structural design.
  • Five years total experience working in
CATIA V5 3D CAD
systems.
  • Ability to produce precise aerodynamic loft surfaces using fundamental technique in parametric design.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace composites, defined both in 3D space and 2D drawings using Catia V5.
  • Strong blueprint reading along with GD&T knowledge, combined with the ability to create Parts List and drawing note definition using Excel from company template
  • Frequently use widely known technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve technical problems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and external partners.
  • Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment both independently and collectively.
  • Familiarity with Adobe, Microsoft Word / PowerPoint / Excel for company documentation and communication tasks.
  • Able to perform work activity tasks in an organized manner independently once sufficient training has occurred.
  • Apply knowledge of repair and maintenance documentation, techniques and procedures (SRM, MM, IPC etc.).
  • Capable of independently creating and delivering technical documents and presentations
  • Proactive self motivated mindset.
