Job Title:
Design Engineer Job Description The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing forging dies, punches, and trim tools, primarily focusing on round tooling inserts. Additional responsibilities include supporting work instructions, process design for automation, such as robot arms for loading and unloading in forge processes, and CAD/CAM programming. Responsibilities Design forging dies, punches, and trim tools with a focus on round tooling inserts. Support work instructions and process design for automation. Develop CAD/CAM programming to enhance forge processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure design integrity and functionality. Essential Skills Proficiency in design and 3D modeling, with preference for Creo. Experience with CAD design using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAM. Knowledge of CMM and tool design. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing. Experience in 3D modeling with preferred knowledge of CREO, SolidWorks, or comparable software. Familiarity with robots and automation. Proficiency in CAD/CAM programming. Experience in tooling and fixture design. Work Environment The position operates within a forging environment, requiring office presence and a significant amount of time on the floor, approximately 40% of the time, depending on project needs. The environment is hot and can be dirty, reflecting the nature of the forging process. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lebanon, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $900000.00/yr. Health, dental, vision, 401K (3% match), 3 weeks PTO, 5 sick days, 12 holidays. They do have shutdown periods typically 1 week in July and 1-2 weeks around Christmas. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Lebanon,KY.
