OBJECTIVE
Each individual performing this function is responsible for not only the overall quality of the activities performed per written procedures and training but also for interaction with the entire team to strive to achieve goals, promote achieve goals, promote safety and build a relationship with team members through respect and communication.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for performing the following functions:
PRIMARY DUTIES
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements adn workflow, designs layout of equipment and workspace maximum efficiency Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards Confers with management and Engineering regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential processes Perform basic PC maintenance and repair of both software and hardware Perform basic network/server maintenance and repair of both software and hardware Other duties as assigned by management
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
Degree in mechanical, industrial, quality engineering or equivalent work history Experience or training in PC and systems/network maintenance is desired Must be able to deal directly with customers and suppliers with little direction GD&T knowledge with statistical competencies will be used regularly
