1st Shift, 9/80 (start between 6-8 AM) About the Role You'll own the inspection process for 3D metal parts across radar and sensor programs — building CMM programs, designing inspection fixturing, and driving root-cause resolution when hardware doesn't conform. Your work sits at the intersection of metrology and manufacturing, and it directly protects product quality. What You'll Do Create, test, and optimize Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs for complex 3D metal parts Develop and document inspection fixturing, setups, and comprehensive inspection plans Translate engineering design requirements into formal inspection and finishing documentation Assess process failures, disposition non-conforming hardware, and execute root cause/corrective action plans Review metrology and SPC data to identify potential defects before they occur Drive process improvements through data analysis, best practices, and innovative solutions Document standard methodologies and standard work for CMM and manual inspection operations Troubleshoot manufacturing issues alongside Quality and Operations using CORE/Six Sigma methods What You'll Bring - Must-Have Bachelor's in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience Knowledge of CMM programming, workpiece holding, and manual inspection methodology 5+ years interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5, including government and industry specifications Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance Nice-to-Have CMM programming for complex parts requiring 4+ axis machining centers PCDMIS or Calypso proficiency Creo CAD experience Familiarity with paint, plating, and structural assembly processes CORE principles and Six Sigma methodology Hands-on mechanical aptitude What We Offer Competitive pay at $79/hr with a path to full-time benefits 6-month contract with FTE conversion potential 1st shift, 9/80 compressed schedule Ready to own the inspection process? .Pay:
