Job Description

job summary: Our client is seeking a Field Engineer in Boston, MA, to provide owner's representative services for a high-priority sewer rehabilitation project. This onsite role requires a BS in Engineering and 2-6 years of experience in construction management or design, specifically within linear water or underground utility infrastructure. You will serve as the primary technical link between field contractors and the design office.

Burlington, Massachusetts job type: Contract salary: $65 - 70 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Provide onsite technical direction and interpretation of design drawings, specifications, and RFIs to ensure subcontractors meet all contract requirements.

Act as the liaison between field operations and the design engineering office to facilitate necessary design changes and maintain project momentum.

Review subcontractor progress payment requests, monitor CPM schedule compliance, and manage Contractor Information Requests (CIRs) and extra work authorizations.

Maintain detailed daily site logs, perform quantity take-offs for invoice approval, and assist the Quality Assurance Manager with inspections and field testing.

Oversee site document control for design records and compile conformed-to-construction markups while ensuring strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
