Primary (Must-Have): ??Minimum of 12 years of experience in automation engineering within the Life Sciences domain ??Extensive hands-on experience with Rockwell Technologies (Rockwell PLCs, FactoryTalk View Studio, FactoryTalk View SE) ??Proven expertise with FactoryTalk Batch systems ??Solid background working within regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments Secondary (Good to Have): ??Experience with Rockwell PlantPAx distributed control systems ??Familiarity with Emerson DeltaV batch systems ??Experience with OSI PI data historians for monitoring and analysis ??Strong capabilities in authoring and updating technical documentation and validation protocols
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an elite Senior Automation Engineer for a 100% onsite engagement at a premier manufacturing facility in Norton, MA. This critical role requires a seasoned professional with over 12 years of experience dedicated to the Life Sciences industry and specialized expertise across the Rockwell automation ecosystem. The successful candidate will ensure system continuity, provide advanced troubleshooting, and manage modifications to critical automated systems within a strict GMP-regulated environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
??Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and execute configuration changes on Rockwell PLCs, FactoryTalk View SE, FactoryTalk Batch, and PlantPAx systems to ensure seamless manufacturing continuity. ??Provide expert-level technical support and rapid troubleshooting response to plant operations, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on the Rockwell platform and integrated technologies. ??Monitor, analyze, and report on automation system performance to proactively identify bottlenecks, mitigate downtime risks, and improve operational efficiency. ??Develop, modify, and review comprehensive technical documentation, including functional design specifications, user manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational procedures. ??Ensure all automation activities, system modifications, and maintenance tasks strictly comply with safety, environmental, and Life Sciences quality standards (GMP/FDA regulations). ??Offer secondary technical support and integration assistance for related plant systems, including OSI PI data historians and DeltaV batch applications. ??Standardize and update the site manufacturing knowledge base regarding the Rockwell environment, ensuring best practices and corporate engineering standards are consistently utilized.
