Job Description

Role:
Manufacturing Engineer (×3) Each Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for: Prototype Assembly & Build Execution — Hands-on assembly, integration, and test of complex electromechanical sub-assemblies and full systems in a prototype/low-volume production environment Process Development — Develop, document, and refine manufacturing processes, work instructions, and build procedures for new product introductions Fixturing & Tooling — Design and specify assembly fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support repeatable, efficient builds Issue Resolution — Lead root-cause analysis on build quality escapes; drive corrective actions with cross-functional engineering teams Build Readiness — Own material kitting, station setup, and build-sequence planning for upcoming prototype batches Documentation — Maintain accurate as-built records, redlines, and revision control of assembly documentation ESD & Clean Room Compliance — Follow and enforce ESD-safe handling protocols and clean/controlled environment procedures throughout the build process Continuous Improvement — Identify and implement cycle time reductions, ergonomic improvements, and quality enhancements on the production floor Environment This is a prototype-to-early-production environment. Engineers will work directly with mechanical, electrical, and software teams on hardware that is still maturing. Comfort with ambiguity, incomplete drawings, and iterative design changes is essential. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent) 3-5 years — of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience Direct experience with electromechanical assemblies (motors, gearboxes, actuators, sensors, wiring harnesses) Working knowledge of torque specifications, torque-critical fastening, and calibrated tool usage Proficiency reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T) Familiarity with ESD-safe practices and clean room / controlled manufacturing environments Demonstrated experience in a prototype or new product introduction (NPI) environment 6. Preferred Qualifications 8+ years — of experience in electromechanical assemblies and prototype environments Experience with torque-critical fastening, precision alignment, and calibration procedures SolidWorks or equivalent CAD proficiency for fixture design and build-sequence visualization Knowledge of electronics, PCB handling, and connector/harness integration Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, statistical process control, and IPC standards Prior experience supporting builds in robotics, aerospace, defense, medical device, or similar precision industries Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
