This role focuses on improving safety, reliability, quality, and cost across machining, assembly, testing, and final integration, while supporting new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Process Development Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes for electrohydraulic actuators and related subassemblies Develop processes, routings, work instructions, and bills of materials for low‑ to medium‑volume industrial production Define tooling, fixturing, hydraulic test setups, and assembly aids to improve consistency and safety New Product Introduction (NPI) Support NPI activities by translating engineering designs into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFM/DFA for actuator subassemblies, hydraulic components, manifolds, seals, and control systems Lead pilot builds and production readiness reviews Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting Identify and execute improvements to reduce cycle time, rework, scrap, and warranty risk Troubleshoot production issues related to hydraulic performance, electrical controls, sealing, and mechanical fit-up Apply Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions Quality & Compliance Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer, industry, and regulatory requirements (oil & gas, power, water, mining, etc.) Support quality initiatives including process capability studies, PFMEA, control plans, and inspection strategies Collaborate with Quality Engineering on nonconformance resolution and continuous improvement Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Field Service teams Support supplier qualification and sourcing of machined components, hydraulic parts, and electrical components Provide technical guidance and training to production and test personnel Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline 5 years of manufacturing experience in industrial equipment, valves, actuators, fluid power systems, or related field Strong knowledge of: Machining and fabrication of metal components Mechanical assembly and precision fit-up Hydraulic systems (pressure, flow, sealing, contamination control) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and hydraulic schematics Experience creating manufacturing documentation and process routings Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production data analysis Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hydraulics and electromechanical assemblies Exposure to industry standards (e.g., API, ISO, IEC, ASME, where applicable) Hands on experience with hydraulic testing and pressure systems Working Conditions:
