Job Description:
Industrial Engineer or Electro/Mechanical Engineer with an interest in Production & Supply Chain - Westborough, MA Join a global leader in pharmaceutical testing solutions! At SOTAX Corporation , we design and manufacture innovative instruments that help ensure the quality and safety of medicines worldwide. Our Westborough facility is a hub for advanced production and engineering excellence. What You Will Do Help us ramp up production of our brand new JetX Automated Sample Preparation platform . Assist us in reviewing our supply chains to adapt to the current global tariff driven environment. Develop a deep electro-mechanical understanding of JetX and our other Westborough, MA manufactured systems. Collaborate with global engineering teams to troubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical systems , including sensors, actuators, and embedded components. Become an integral of our team to interact and collaborate with colleagues locally in North America and overseas. Develop and implement robust, sustainable production systems to improve efficiency and reliability. Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce waste and increase throughput. Source and qualify parts and materials for cost-effective, resilient supply chains. Maintain and enhance testing processes to ensure reliable, well-documented instruments. Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve issues and promote continuous improvement. Drive operational excellence . Foster a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing across departments. Support manufacturing operations , including process improvements, assembly procedures, and test protocols. Drive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for field and production issues. Ensure compliance with Safety and EMC regulatory standards . Participate in quality assurance activities , including internal audits and external customer support. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the creation of technical manuals and training materials . What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering . No previous experience in manufacturing or production engineering is required . A driven individual who sets a high standard for him/herself and others. Strong knowledge of Lean principles, process optimization, and quality systems . Familiarity with testing protocols and documentation standards . Excellent problem-solving and communication skills . Self-motivated and goal-driven , with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. Comfortable working in a global, cross-functional team environment .
