About the
Role:
This Automation & Controls Engineer plays a hands-on role supporting and enhancing the automated manufacturing systems that power advanced biopharmaceutical production. Working within GMP manufacturing and laboratory environments, the position focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving PLC-driven process equipment, data historians, alarms, and OEM automation platforms. You'll partner closely with senior engineers, manufacturing, and QA teams to keep critical systems compliant, reliable, and performance-driven while supporting new facility builds and equipment commissioning. The role is deeply embedded on the plant floor, directly impacting manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational continuity.About TAI:

Here's a glimpse into your day to day: Establish appropriate controls and administer automated and computerized systems Support large-scale capital projects involving development and implementation of automation systems in new manufacturing areas, followed by ongoing support Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations; review automation documentation, maintenance activities, and SOPs Develop and implement corrective actions for atypical automation issues Support efficient operation of automated processing and IT systems; assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and GAMP guidelines, including change control and deviation investigations Participate in audits and training programs related to automated systems Provide on-floor support for manufacturing, process development, and laboratory activities Maintain technical documentation (manuals, drawings, software, etc.) Provide technical support for business applications within the manufacturing environment Support plant operations during off-hours as needed, per established schedules Perform additional duties as assigned You'll be a perfect fit if you have: Associate's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Science, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in an automation role supporting process, laboratory, or facility equipment Working knowledge of bioprocess equipment (e.g., single-use bioreactors, chromatography, filtration) required Experience with PLC programming and automation support in GMP environments preferred Familiarity with data historian and SCADA/reporting platforms preferredCompensation and Benefits:
Pay:
