Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer Tool & Die#26-00595 ALlen Park, MI
All On-site Job Description Responsibilities:
Support tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability and process robustness. Monitor tool construction progress and verify compliance with program requirements and standards. Coordinate tool try-out activities and support die prove-out to achieve dimensional quality and run-at-rate capability. Identify and resolve tooling issues impacting timing, quality, or manufacturability. Support build events, PSW readiness, and launch milestones. Track and support resolution of Yellow Items and other tooling risks. Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, program managers, and tool shops to ensure tooling readiness. Document tooling issues and support corrective action implementation.
Skills Required:
Mechanical Engineering Strong background in stamping tooling construction, try out, and die development. Experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes. Understanding of die build, try out, and production readiness requirements. Ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution activities. Experience working within structured tooling or launch processes (Stamping Tooling Specialist (STS) or similar). Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience Preferred:
BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical preferred). Experience supporting automotive program launches. Familiarity with global tool shop operations. Understanding of part quality requirements and dimensional validation processes. Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree
