Wiring Harness Design Release Engineer - Hybrid Experis - 3.3 Detroit, MI Job Details Contract 4 hours ago Qualifications Project reporting Power circuit design Communication with suppliers Defect resolution root cause analysis Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering Supplier corrective action implementation Bachelor of Science Production deviation management Electrical system design Mid-level Electrical load calculations Collaboration with product development teams Vendor compliance management Electrical Engineering Technology Engineering Technology Electrical protection systems Vendor performance improvement Design engineering Design for manufacturability (DFM) 1 year Electrical Engineering Electrical connectors Design of individual components Electrical optimization Energy storage systems Electronic component selection Vendor performance monitoring Progress tracking (project management tasks) Failure analysis Full Job Description Execute DRE activities on one or more projects concurrently Support Root Cause analysis of field issues Manage supplier deviations Support supplier ramp up - DFM Interface with supplier to drive one-time and high-quality deliveries Lead harness topology and partitioning Package components and collaborate with other systems within the application Identify components during the design phase for the wiring harness - connectors, terminals, wire gauges/type, etc. Optimize harness complexity across product lines to leverage standardization & modularity, where possible Complete electrical connectivity design for a battery system including Wire-list and DEF files for composite harness design, Load analysis Review and anticipate voltage drop calculations circuit sizing In-line connector pin count determination and circuit protection Collaborate with Systems Engineers and BMS Hardware Engineers to ensure all internal and customer-specific requirements are met Track and report on program progress to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner Support pre-launch builds as well as product launches Other duties as assigned
Location:
Lake Orion, MI - Onsite at least 3 days a week
Education:
B.S. Electrical Engineering, B.S. Electrical Technology, or similar
Experience:
1 - 3 years experience in DRE role, Battery System Experience a plus
