Machine Design Engineer

We are currently hiring for a permanent position in Grand Rapids, MI area. Also have some similar openings in Holland, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo with reputable and growing companies in the automation industry. Job description Ideal candidates will have machine design and project engineering experience, preferably with automation, process equipment, assembly and/or material handling systems. Responsibilities Design and project engineer special machine systems utilizing engineering principles, knowledge, and related mechanical design engineering experience Lead and mentor other Machine Designers and Detailers Conceptualize designs and project engineer to completion Create models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD software Size mechanical equipment such as pumps, gears, bearings, hydraulics, conveyors, and piping Review bid specifications, detailed drawings, technical manuals, and bill of materials Provide production and customer support Requirements Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required Machine design experience, preferably process equipment, material handling, or automation equipment Solidworks software experience, but Inventor, Creo, ProE, AutoCAD, or any 3D software experience considered Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Technical ability, team-oriented, and attention to detail Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card Compensation and Benefits $75,000.00 to $120,000.00 /year Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid holiday, vacation, and personal days Opportunity for bonuses Flexible schedules
