Exempt SUMMARY Provides project management for design, development, installation and documentation of new and/or existing processes, equipment and tooling. Assures highest quality to meet DSC standards as well as cost efficient manufacturing processes.

Expertise includes but is not limited to tool engineering, industrial engineering, automation engineering, machine design, facility operation, welding, plant lay-out, lean manufacturing, safety and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Leadership of the process optimization activities in work area's as assigned including: Helping to develop Predictive, and preventative maintenance to process and non-process equipment, Constantly striving to improve standardization, efficiency, effectiveness, and customer focus of the manufacturing team. Assist in training, setting expectations, and appraising performance of department employees Work with outside sources as needed to develop new tools / processes / equipment to support Dennen's launch plans for projects assigned. Researches, designs and develops improvements to existing processes, fixtures, and equipment including detailed analysis of capability, lean manufacturing needs, and cost improvement. Provides detailed recommendations for process direction and implementation. Ensures new and/or existing processes in assigned areas comply with DSC policy with regard to health, safety and environmental assurances. Analyzes, recommends, and installs equipments required to meet applicable codes, standards and regulations. Analyzes Engineering Change Orders. Support a review of documentation for quote requests for fixturing and equipment and utilizes engineering principles to assure Dennen's feasibility review process is effective. Oversee the implementation of product / process changes that affect assigned product lines. Utilizes statistical techniques, tolerance analysis, process potential studies, capability analysis and other engineering techniques to assure new fixturing and equipment meet specifications before quality acceptance. Drives / participates in the development and implementation of PFMEA and quality plans. Develops corrective action plans to bring non-conforming processes or tooling into compliance. Analyzes competitive products by evaluating competitor's materials, manufacturing processes, product performance and packaging. As assigned. Participates in and executes quality deliverables for New Product Introduction (NPI) budgets, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) design reviews, gauging, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), and reliability goals. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and in area of manufacturing engineering methods and processes and shares this information with team members. Develops methods, labor standards, and routings for all manufacturing processes and enters information to DSC database. Conducts regular audits of standards to assure accuracy. Develops, maintains, and improves contingency plans for assigned work cells. Communicate launch status to DSC management team and customers as required. Understanding and working knowledge of all job-related Quality Objectives, Quality System Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
IMPACT ON CUSTOMER QUALITY
Failure to perform these activities will likely result in dissatisfaction to the internal/external customer. Follow established instructions and quality standards. Must ensure customer requirements are properly documented and communicated to DSC manufacturing personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in engineering or comparable degree. 8-10 years of experience in steel industry, metal stamping and/or value-added configured blanks including five years in manufacturing engineering. Supervisory experience is a plus
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required Professional Program Certification is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. The
