Job Description

Our client, a rapidly growing organization in the Holland, Michigan area, specializes in designing and manufacturing custom machinery for customers worldwide. Responsibilities:
  • Research, plan, and design mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic, and liquid processing systems using advanced 3D software (SolidWorks).
  • Create detailed assembly models, approval prints, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
  • Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to develop cost-effective, manufacturable designs.
  • Assess the feasibility of new equipment designs or modifications to existing systems, considering constraints like space, cost, and time.
  • Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation) to validate designs.
  • Evaluate field installations, making design modifications to improve performance and integration.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., ANSI, OSHA).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to evaluate fit, form, and function of equipment relative to adjacent systems and components.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or equivalent) preferred; Associate's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience considered.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, building materials, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with FEA and CFD tools to test and refine designs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
