Impact:
Ensures safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures are facilitated and enforced throughout the department and among all individuals. Defines, plans, schedules, coordinates, facilitates, and manages a variety of production-related processes associated with Machining and Metrology implements changes required to achieve continuous improvements. Responsible for efficient and productive utilization of human and mechanical resources to achieve production output while maintaining objective quality levels, controlling costs, and meeting on-time delivery requirements. Applies extensive knowledge of manufacturing and machining principles to manage and develop leads and employees such that skill levels are maintained and improved. Determines, defines, develops, and implements succession and contingency plans such that customer service levels are maintained. Participates in Design Review discussions associated with design for manufacturability to ensure that fabrication and manufacturing of relevant details are consistent with design, cost, and delivery targets. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding machined details, tooling, speeds and feeds, fit, form, and function. Provides answers to technical questions related to manufacturability by applying knowledge and competencies associated with machining and fabrication. Interprets technical data, specifications, and other information to generate cost options and recommendations. Tracks defects and other anomalies associated with machining - participates in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA). Assist the with the execution of ISO\Quality standards. Responsible to display and promote a teamwork culture within functional groups. Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of assigned work area. Responsible for other duties that could be assigned which consist with the role's scope and complexity.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field; or a technical diploma with relevant coursework/experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of experience managing a high-mix, low-volume production environment Hands-on knowledge of metrological methods, machining processes, and quality systems Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies Ability to interpret technical drawings, including GD&T Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and Microsoft Office Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred
