Assist the Manufacturing Engineering and Production departments in designing, developing, and refining production processes and equipment for the company's products and accessories. Support daily engineering tasks by designing, developing, and maintaining robust, cost-efficient manufacturing equipment and processes aligned with lean manufacturing practices. Understand and meet all assigned process and test requirements, including the capabilities of processes and equipment. Perform root cause and failure analysis as needed. Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve processes. Plan and execute time studies and line balancing. Develop and update standard manufacturing work instructions. Analyze work centers and implement safety and process improvements. Identify sources of variation and assess the impact of tolerance stack-ups in assemblies using Six Sigma strategies. Develop and conduct experiments as directed by engineering. Participate in concurrent engineering efforts and critical design reviews to minimize product development costs and enhance manufacturability. Provide engineers with weekly summary reports detailing daily tasks. Design and improve tools, fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids for the fabrication of company products. Schedule is Monday - Friday from 07:00 - 16:00. The Maufacturing Engineer Intern position at Webasto will be to find a self-motivated candidate with strong communication skills. The selected candidate will need to be able to adapt himself to a fast paced working environment and support the engineering team to achieve the goals of the department.
