2nd Shift (2:00 PM•10:00 PM EST) | Weekend Rotation Required Position Summary Seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support manufacturing operations in a high-volume production environment. This role will provide technical support for production equipment, troubleshoot automation and controls systems, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support maintenance teams to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize PLC, CNC, HMI, robot, servo, and drive systems. Provide direct shop-floor support for manufacturing equipment and production lines. Support Siemens-based control systems, including PLC programming and automation troubleshooting. Assist maintenance teams with equipment fault diagnosis, recovery, and repairs. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance. Program and support industrial robots (Fanuc and Kuka). Maintain controls documentation and provide equipment performance reporting. Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and vendor teams to resolve technical issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of controls engineering or industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Siemens PLCs, drives, servos, HMI systems, and industrial networks (Profinet/Profibus). Knowledge of CNC systems, automation controls, and manufacturing equipment. Experience troubleshooting and supporting production machinery. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and automation systems. Robot programming experience with Fanuc and/or Kuka robots. Knowledge of Cognex vision systems. Experience with AutoCAD and manufacturing monitoring systems. Understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies. Work Environment Onsite manufacturing facility supporting production operations. Position requires shift work, weekend rotation, and collaboration with maintenance and production teams in an industrial environment. #Indeed_
