Manufacturing Engineer Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting projects and addressing production and assembly challenges. This position is responsible for managing all post-launch activities, such as updating product drawings, designing, and building fixtures. The engineer will work closely with assemblers to identify production inefficiencies and improve manufacturing throughput and process efficiencies. Responsibilities Serve as the primary engineering contact to support manufacturing, evaluate equipment, processes, and design, and develop and implement improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, developing both short-term solutions and long-term corrective measures. Design and develop fixtures to assist in production. Communicate with the quality and procurement teams on supplier issues. Support purchasing and engineering by qualifying new products, processes, and materials. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, including initiating root cause investigations and supporting the team in implementing corrective actions. Essential Skills Manufacturing engineering experience, specifically in a production/assembly environment. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Fixture design experience with Solidworks or Creo. Proficiency in Creo and CNC programs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Product design experience. CNC programming experience. Work Environment The role is based in an assembly/production environment with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. The team is small, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $40.87/hr.
