This role is responsible for the efficiency and maintenance of the equipment and processes used as well as continually looking for new technologies to improve these.
Responsibilities Monitoring operational metrics:
analyzing data to ensure overall operational efficiencies of the equipment and processes are being met. Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting manufacturing processes as well as leading 8D and other quality problem solving initiatives if/when quality concerns arise. Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new technologies that may improve our manufacturing processes. Establishing safety procedures for individuals working on the production floor. Designing and planning equipment layout as well as the overall manufacturing processes along with the process engineer. Coordinate equipment buyoffs as well as the transfer of equipment, revalidation on our floor, and production ramp-up. Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production. Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Estimating production costs for new processes and equipment. Developing proper work instructions and procedures for equipment. Performing risk assessments as well as continuous improvement activities that drive better performance and process capability. Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure a smooth integration of new processes, technologies, and equipment. Assisting with required maintenance due to machine malfunctions or coordinating with machine manufacturers for maintenance needs. Any related job tasks or additional functions that may be required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years.

Advanced.
Certificates & Licenses:
Continual education training required to remain current in industry, state, and federal regulatory standards and compliances pertaining to multiple overall Operational responsibilities, functions, and technologies.
Other Requirements:
Understanding of manufacturing principles (Lean /6Sigma/5S) and experience in metrics development. PLC knowledge/understanding is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a professional appearance and demeanor.
Pay:
$73,344.47 - $88,328.83 per year
