CONTROLS ENGINEER, WARREN, MI RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a candidate to provide Controls Engineering on-site at the Client Engineering Facility in Warren, Michigan You will be working on-site 5 days per week, developing Global Propulsion Systems (GPS) automation standards and specifications with a focus on assembly and machining applications. Working closely with Subject Matter Experts to develop, review, and refine technical standards, documentation, and controls logic for OEM's Powertrain Manufacturing, including all automation equipment, machinery applications, hardware, and software Controls Develop and modify A-B PLC logic and/or Siemens Step 7 as needed to support standardization and implementation activities Assist with the deployment and alignment of automation standards across programs and sites Identify, communicate, and track technical issues, risks, and gaps to the program lead Support onsite activities with primary assignment at Warren Tech Center
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on controls and automation design/development experience for Automotive Manufacturing GM Global Common (GCCH, GCCS) certification is highly desired, will accept candidates with solid knowledge of GCCH /GCCS and who are willing to get certified GFACS experience preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in A-B Rockwell PLC or Siemens Step 7 programming and controls logic development and Siemens HMIs Proven ability to create clear, structured technical specifications and documentation Familiarity with automated assembly and machining systems within a manufacturing environment Strong communication skills with the ability to escalate and clearly articulate technical issues Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with SMEs and cross-functional teams Willingness and flexibility to travel as needed up to 25% or less No Work Visa Sponsorship is available for this position
