Job Description
Engineering Technician Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team, where you will work closely with engineering to coordinate production and post-processing activities. This role involves creating CNC code for capable and repeatable processes, troubleshooting, improving, validating, and controlling process changes. CNC Swiss work history using ES-PRIT Software is a requirement.Responsibilities:
Interpret prints and models to create CNC programs and set up machines for Swiss or Milling machine centers. Develop a process that is capable, cost-effective, and sustainable. Write work instructions and procedures to support the process. Fully understand and apply G-code. Advocate and implement the highest quality standards and LEAN principles. Assess and communicate technical specifications across departments. Identify and complete continuous improvement projects, including cycle time reduction and perishable tooling selection and cost reduction. Create and coordinate engineering tests. Perform quality assurance tests to ensure specification compliance. Assist in the development of tool design and CNC programming. Modify BOM/BOO through change control within the ERP system. Assist with costing and quoting functions for tooling. Resolve daily manufacturing issues per LEAP structure. Maintain machining and secondary operational processes.Essential Skills:
2+ years of experience in CNC Programming, specifically with Swiss machines. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, including Solidworks, NX, and ES-PRIT. Experience in precision manufacturing shop work and CNC programming. Strong understanding of G-code and lean principles. Ability to create work instructions and procedures. Experience with BOM and ERP systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2- 3 years of experience in a technical field. Experience in the design and selection of fixturing and tooling for complex parts. LEAN / Six Sigma training and demonstrated application. Experience working within an ISO environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Big Lake, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00
