We're looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Project Engineer who thrives in a dynamic, small-team environment and can move quickly without sacrificing quality or compliance. If you bring deep medical device expertise, a strong project management instinct, and the communication skills to serve as a trusted partner to both customers and colleagues, this role offers high visibility and real opportunity to grow with us. What you'll own Lead new product introductions into KDI manufacturing•from customer kickoff through production handoff Serve as the primary technical liaison to customers, managing specifications, change communications, and issue resolution Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical medical system assembly and machine shop operations Define build schedules, key milestones, and project status reports for internal teams and external stakeholders Author Work Instructions, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), PFMEAs, and Risk Management Plans Design fixtures and tooling using SolidWorks; drive design reviews and process validations Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives across production What we're looking for Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering 8-15 years of manufacturing process development experience in the medical device industry Contract manufacturing experience•you understand what it takes to serve multiple customers with competing priorities Solid knowledge of cGMP and/or
ISO 13485
Exceptional communication skills•written, verbal, and cross-functional Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot as priorities shift Nice to have SolidWorks proficiency Experience with Class I and Class II medical device assembly and/or machining Demonstrated Lean / Six Sigma experience At KDI, small team means big impact. You'll work directly alongside production staff, senior leadership, and customers•and your decisions will matter from day one. A can-do attitude and the ability to adapt quickly aren't just nice-to-haves here; they're essential to how we operate.
