JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of satisfactory technical support for sales, manufacturing and quality. Please note there is no bonus plan for this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Be the technical resource for all Manual and Automated Equipment which includes mechanical and servo press technology, Helium Leak Testing Systems, Laser Marking Equipment, TIG welding, Laser welding, degreasing equipment, mechanical crimp systems, progressive die sets. Develop and implement new and existing techniques and procedures for improving productivity while following Management of Change protocols. Provide technical support to production and quality departments Support the CSS team with expedited delivery activity Support and develop CSS supplier relationships at an Engineering level Follow and adhere to Company

procedures Ad-hoc project and administrative duties as assigned by Manager Collaborate and cooperate with global CEP Engineering team Carry out technical analysis and testing of new or modified designs for internal and external approval. Liaise with manufacturing and quality to oversee product to production. Support Quality, Manufacturing and Sales with root cause analysis related to any defects / non conformances that arise. Prepare and conduct test and evaluation programs in support of product development, prototype evaluation and start of process validation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Minimum:
4-year degree in Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Equivalent.
Experience:
4+ years' engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical engineering design exposure. Experience with precision laser and TIG welding preferred. Understanding of punch press manufacturing using progressive die sets and advantage.
Knowledge:
Ability to perform mechanical manufacturing tasks according to best engineering practice and by following and expanding upon Company procedures and practices. Know how to follow industrial codes and standards in a disciplined and organized manner with capture of work output in Company systems (Vault program is used). Possess the ability to work mostly independently, completing tasks on schedule while following Management direction with a cooperative and positive attitude. Ability to develop and execute a detailed test plan. Working knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong problem-solving skills.
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to lift to twenty-five (25) pounds. Frequently needs to talk and actively listen. Occasionally stands, walks and sits, as well as using hands to touch or feel, and arms to reach.
Working Conditions:
General office and light manufacturing conditions. Moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic & shop area with punch presses and hydraulic equipment).
Equipment/Tools Used:
Must possess the ability to support product design, development and ongoing manufacture using punch presses, servo presses, progressive die sets, hydraulic and pneumatic pressure systems, laser marking equipment, degreasing equipment and related inspection devices.
