Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This position will focus on troubleshooting manufacturing issues, improving processes, optimizing equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute manufacturing engineering activities supporting production operations and process improvements
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Analyze technical challenges and develop innovative solutions to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Evaluate process, equipment, and system changes while considering impacts across related operations
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, operators, and cross-functional teams to support manufacturing objectives
- Participate in verification and validation activities to ensure process effectiveness and compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, standard work, and waste reduction techniques
- Support equipment optimization and manufacturing efficiency projects
- Maintain strong presence on the manufacturing floor and work closely with production personnel
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- Up to 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to spend significant time supporting manufacturing floor activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting medical device, regulated manufacturing, or high-volume production environments
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis and process optimization
- Recent engineering graduates with strong academic performance are encouraged to apply
