Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION
Contribute to a high level of equipment uptime through implementation of TPM with predictive and preventive and planned maintenance programs. Foster continual improvement in equipment reliability through involvement with planning, installation, modification and repair of equipment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and implement maintenance projects. Ensure that parts are available prior to beginning the job, that all procedures and implementation of projects are understood by all personnel involved, and/or direct the implementation of the project as required.2. Develop and utilize procedure, maintenance schedules, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, parts crib inventories, quality control programs, PAQ-91 documentation, etc.in line with TPM guidelines and principles, to achieve a high level of machine uptime.3. Maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions or practices and initiate corrective action as required.4. Improve profitability by initiating and implementing cost reductions.5. Improve the reliability of equipment by implementing, predictive/preventive maintenance programs, or redesigning/modifying as necessary.6. Implement and manage fully integrated TPM system7. Coach and train operators, team leaders, supervision and other engineers in application of TPM tools8. Assist in the development, coordination, and installation of capital projects.9. Assist in complying with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.10. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
B.S. Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial technology, or plant engineering. Equivalent experience may be substituted for the specified education requirement.
